This Creepy Thriller

A genuinely scary movie. This Saturday, nighttime, on Film4
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
In the conflict between spirituality and money, it's a knockout win for greed in this director's brilliantly over-the-top biopic about the fallen televangelist plus her lawbreaking partner. Garfield plays the corrupt Bakker, who proclaims at the beginning, “God does not want us to be poor,”. The couple commence profiting from the nation's Christian beliefs. It's a riot of bad interior design, excessive cosmetics and insincerity, yet Chastain succeeds to depict the character in a likable light. Tuesday 14 October, late night, the Film4 channel
